Marston STW - 17th July Tufted Duck - 1 pair with 5 ducklings (good breeding record?) Oystercatcher 1 Lapwing 1 Greylag Geese 77 Common Gull 4 Black-headed Gull 2 Still lots of warblers singing, including sedge, reed, whitethroat and blackcap.... Andrew |

The Tufty duckings started off at 7 on 7th July so this is a good survival rate. No sign of breeding in 2011 but pairs bred in 2010 and 2009. Dave Roberts and I heard a Garden Warbler on 10 July. David |
