Post subject:  Saltfeetby-Theddlethorpe NNR beach this evening

Given the lack of sandwich terns this morning, which surprised me, I went out from Brickyard to check out the gull/tern roost from 1915-2045hrs.
There had obviously been much disturbance during the day, with many kits buggy tracks (not permitted on NNR beach) and horse tracks, but only 2 runners this evening and no strange people.
Birds seen at roost included:

Sandwich tern 160+
Common tern 12
Arctic tern 22 of which 10 came in from a long way out, landed in the roost and then 5 got back up and headed inland SW high (as described ..........................this morning)
Common Gull 220+
Black-H Gull 500+
LB-b Gull 13
GB-b Gull 8
Med Gull 1 (2nd summer)

Arctic or Pom Skua 1 light phase long way out
Common scoter 75+
Curlew 48
Sanderling 9
Oyster Catcher 8
Knot 12>S

Regards
Cliff
