Following good numbers offshore yesterday, a significant increase today involving a minimum of 600 little gulls feeding offshore and moving south.
One flock of around 100 came in form the north with most of them landing on the beach for a while.
At one time, there were 283 offshore in one scope scan. Most are adults.
Still up to 30 sandwich terns around, two arctic terns, a common tern, 3 bonxies, one arctic skua and a juv long-tailed skua - the latter presumably the same bird over the last three days.
Also for yesterday offshore, a sooty shearwater lingering, a little auk and two velevet scoter.
