An adult Pomarine Skua heading south along the tideline offered a glimmer of cheer this morning. However, apart from a party of ca.8 Goldcrests in one section of willows, the coastal bushes were about as birdless as I have ever known them to be in October. A Firecrest in the company of 2-3 Goldcrests did appear in my garden during the afternoon. |
