Morning, a quick 2 hours around the bungalow bushes and sycamores revealed not a lot

Blackcap 1 female
Chiffchaff 4
Goldcrest 6
LT Tit 16
GS Woodpecker 1
Sparrowhawk 1

Some viz mig occurring :
Goldfinch 130+ south
Greenfinch 60+ south
Lsr Redpoll 6 south
Brambling 1

Dog-walkers - too many.

Having been visiting Anderby for more than 3 decades now, I'm perturbed at the number of "Private, residents only" signs springing up all over the place, especially if you want to walk south out of the car park (sign-posted "To the Bird Hide", with a "Private, no access to the Bird Hide" sign right behind it). Has anything changed "officially" or are these self-made signs put up by the residents ?

Phil

I would imagine they are put up by local residents who have nothing better to do Phil. Pretty sure it is a public road. Only had grief once and that was a guy living near the old Tennis Court. He took great pleasure in clapping his hands and scaring off a large flock of Golden Plover I was about to go through. Apparently I was standing on a private piece of grass!!

Sad but true

Regards

Nige
