The quiet theme continues at the south end with the only thrushes being 24 Blackbirds, one Song Thrush, 3 Mistle Thrushes and 7 Robins. Most significant this morning were 26 Lesser Redpolls, 7 Crossbills, one Tree Sparrow, 18 Reed Buntings, one Coal Tit, one Jay, 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers, one Merlin and an adult Mediterranean Gull.

At Pyes Hall there was a Spotshank, 1 Short-eared Owl, 1 Goldcrest, 1 Chiffchaff, a few Blackbirds, Redwings and a Fieldfare plus several Reed Buntings.
