I have visited the site this morning as I have been doing for the last 2 years now.

Today I have found the hide is covered in litter and has been left in quite a disgraceful condition, I find it unbelievable to think that any person or animal in this occassion thinks it is acceptable to leave litter and let others just to come and clear up after themselves.

If anyone knows who this person is then please tell them to revisit the hide and clear it up.

This is a new site that has been given to us for our pleasure but today I felt embarrassed to sit in the hide that has been built for us to enjoy.

It's odds on no one will own up.

I remember going to one of my favourite sites years ago and on entering the hide it was littered with beer cans and dog-ends etc. Found out months after it wasn't the birding fraternity had done it. So maybe this wasn't.

Having never been to BB yet, out of curiosity is there anywhere to put rubbish like a black bin liner? I always take my rubbish home but I know some people can't be bothered.

I didn't notice any undue amounts of rubbish in the hide when I visited on Friday - but the car parking area was in a bit of a state
To answer Max - no there is no rubbish bags

With the car park being 30 yards from the hide and nowhere else to walk on the site there is no need for any rubbish bin.
I have no doubt that birders are not responsible for any bad behaviour there. Vandalism and obscenities are an ever present problem in several hides in the area and the nature of the damage suggests that it isn't one of us that is responsible.
The log at Blackmoor indicates about 1 visitor a day goes there so there is no chance of catching anyone. Perhaps we just have to live with it and be grateful that the hide and reserve are there at all.
