3 hours searching in drenching fog and occasional heavy rain yielded the following, 08.50-11.50 :- Fieldfare 800+ Redwing 1000+ Blackbird 200+ Song Thrush 40+ Ring Ousel 9, including 5 together feeding in a field across the footpath from the old tennis court along with 600+ other mixed thrushes Robin 60+ Goldcrest 140+ Black Redstart 1 imm/fem Brambling 8 Chiffchaff 1 (!) Very wet 3 hours, regrettably had to leave for other appointments. Well worth another look this afternoon if anyone is in the area. Phil |
