Post subject:  Winter Thrush survey TF3488 east of Louth

Second time out this morning was much more productive than early Oct and reflected the big thrush influx this week.

Blackbird 35
Fieldfare 23
Redwing 11
Mistle Thrush 8
Starling 16

but still no Song Thrush.

Other species included

Kingfisher 1, just below Ticklepenny Lock
Jay 1 near Ticklepenny Lock, first time I've ever seen one in this area in 40 years!
Buzzard 2
Golden Plover 18 flew over headed south

If anyone is looking for a priority square in East Lincs, left there are still 10 left.
