Post subject:  3 hour sea watch at Huttoft this morning

Richard Lorand and I completed a sea watch hoping to see little auks coming down with the strong N-NE winds:

Little auk 1 >N just beyond breakers with a second shortly afterwards that then landed on the sea.
2>S in the middle distance
Guillemot 4>S
Sooty shearwater 1>S moderately close
Manx shearwater 1>S
Bonxie 10, but both northerly and southerly movements.
Red-necked grebe 1 on sea
Velvet scoter 2>N
Common scoter total, but 405 mainly north
Red-throted diver 10>S
Pintail 1>N
Shoveler 3>N
Teal 144>N, note the above 2 duck species were with teal flocks
Wigeon 99>N
Tufted duck 2
Goldeneye 1
Eider 8>N, 2S
Red-breasted merganser 1>N
Gannet 77 in both directions
Kittiwake 81 mainly N
Black-headed gull 400+ north along beach in groups up to 50

Snow buntings 8 on beach
Woodcock 1 in off sea
Starlings small flocks in
