Jack Snipe roosting with 2 Snipe on the Mere all morning,
another Ring Ouzel at Mill Pond,
Short-eared Owl over saltmarsh,

Woodcock in/off met by a female Merlin, after a few passes the Woodcock was knocked to the beach where the Merlin lost interest leaving the hapless bird to scamper to the refuge of overhanging vegetation on the dunes. After a while I checked the area and the Woodcock flew inland apparently none the worse for it's experience,
