21 waxwings at gib point, (14.20, 23/11 ) Earlier, some watchers had counted 19. Maybe more than one flock!
Location........As you go over hump bridge towards MAIN car park, look left, there is a red berried bush with a leafless tree behind. They were on bush and tree.
Has anyone else noticed a strange behaviour they have? They will all fly into the air for about 10 yards and then return whence they came.
Btw., they make a lovely trilling sound.

I have not noticed that behaviour - hawthorn berries are getting quite depleted here now.

Offshore - a late manx shearwater flew south and a very distant northbound flock of pink-footed geese contained a white goose sp of similar size !

I had a single white goose flying with a flock of around 60 grey geese (presumably pinkfeet but too far away to be certain) this afternoon. Flock was heading in a westerly direction to the west of Brocklesby / Kirmington.

Not sure if this is the same bird Kev saw and as this is the only record I found in search, I don't know if it is seen regularly and if a proper ID has been made of it.
