Some late news for yesterday
Waxwing - 30 south (of which I saw 21 south in two groups between 1130 and 1330)

bearded tit 2 on the Mere
Water pipit
marsh harrier
hen harrier
merlin 2
woodcock 2
black brant or integrade - an adult bird with c200 brent on the Old Saltmarsh - some good brant features but the collar, although extensive, did not join in the middle. Nonetheless, a striking bird to pick out in the flock. If anyone has any good links on the current thinking on black brant vs integrade identification I would be grateful
