Received a report on Twitter that a small group of Waxwings were feeding and drinking from a roadside puddle just outside Gipsey Bridge Primary School at about 14:30 this afternoon.

Sadly, I was not able to be taken to see them. AARGS! #-o

Didn't see any at 1.30pm when I passed the spot. Hope they come up the road to our berries.

I have just been down Leagate Road as far as Antons Gowt to see if they had returned and were on the nearest berries. No sign although I was surprised to have a Little Egret take off quite close to me from Castle Dyke. He was back in the dyke 20mins later opp Castle Dyke Equastrian centre.
