Barn Owl hunting along Brant Broughton road this morning approx 8am. Called in to the Blackmoor Bridge hide, nothing of interest to report but there was an entry on the 25th reporting a Great Grey Shrike; unfortunately no name and no further details, anybody know anymore?
Single SEO this afternoon above Stapleford.

Regards,

Oliver.

Twilight walk up the Brant River from Clay Lane to Norton Disney Road and back on the opposite bank produced only 42 Mute Swans on the East riverside fields plus hundreds (c400) Starlings and several thousand Gull sp. heading towards Thurlby Lake. Just as I was getting back into the car a single Barn Owl came down the roadside hedge and verge, too dark to photograph.

Hi David,
Clay Lane and Norton Disney Road would suggest you were walking the Upper Witham between Bassingham and Norton Disney rather than the Brant?
Cheers,
Oliver.

Oliver,

Yes, sorry I rushed off the post as soon as I got in, I know it's the Witham so no Idea why I said it was the Brant!
