There certainly is a big night time roost Chris.

Around 3-4000 (sometimes more) corvids roost in Hartsholme and Swanholme consisting of Jackdaw, Rook and Carrion Crow. The sight and sound is spectacular on a winters evening and well worth hanging around until dusk/dark to witness if your in the area. A great end to a birding day.

Would there be enough interest in getting a couple of winter (jan, feb & mar) organised counts on the corvid roost? I am guessing we would need between 5-10 people to be present from about an hour before dusk? PM me if you would like to be involved?

Andrew
