A rather soggy afternoon at Frampton Marsh produced no Waxwings (bangs head against wall), but:

Brent Goose - 50
Scaup - 3 in Reedbed scrape
Goldeneye - female on scrape seen from 360 Hide.
Yellowhammer - 6
Snipe - 10
Fieldfare - lone bird in hedgerow
Song Thrush - 1 in hedgerow
Lapwing - everywhere you looked. Possibly as many as 10,000 birds.

Usual ducks - Mallard, Gadwall, Teal, Wigeon, Tufted Duck, Pochard.

No sign of reported female Red-crested Pochard.

Year List for 2013 now at 40. Paths boggy in places.

I too was there yesterday in the rain.
Missed the scaup but did have a lovely male hen harrier north of the car park plus peregrine and a few tree sparrows and little egrets.
Year list now on 100 but did start off in Norfolk on the 1st!
Cheers
Brian

Mine's now 42. Sparrowhawk over the garden this morning, and Rock Dove spotted in the grounds of Pilgrim Hospital. I do voluntary work there on Thursday afternoons, for the hospital radio station.
