Post subject:  Waxwings near Nocton Village - 10 Jan

Although the foggy mist/misty fog was patchy around BBH this morning, I thought I'd check out a local Waxwing report of 9th Jan, Nocton being only a 10 minute drive from BBH :

BirdGuides : "c30 on tree next to B1188 near Nocton turn off at midday."

There were just 8 Waxwings perched in an Ash tree just after 11.00 to the right of the road about 100 yards past the first turning to Nocton Village (if coming from Sleaford). There is a pedestrian/cycle path under the tree and from there I had close views of the Waxwings flying down and feeding on Rose Hips in the hedge below.

An unexpected bonus for me Waxwingwise as the forecast for today was miserable. :D :)
