Hi,

Some counts, mostly from my section of the Reserve WeBS today;
Whooper swan - 2
European White-fronted goose - 2
Pink-footed goose - 300
Dark-bellied brent goose - 1215
Canada goose - at least three races present in a group of 12 birds including one Richardson's (hutchinsii) type and one of the larger races, unfortunately they flew off after about a minute.
Wigeon - 922
Teal - 581
Mallard - 289
Gadwall - 129
Shoveler - 113
Pintail - 26
Tufted duck - 72
Goldeneye - 16
Pochard - 15
Scaup - 6 (male and five 1st winter males)
Red-crested Pochard - fem/imm.
Ruff - 3
Merlin - 2
Peregrine - 1
Marsh Harrier - 1
Twite - 13
