It's just over a month since I reported my first ever sighting of Redpolls in my garden at Branston. Since then numbers have varied but steadily increased. Today I had up to 10 Redpolls enjoying nyjer seed in competition with up to 7 Goldfinch.

Other birds in the garden today included

5 Blackbird
2 Fieldfare
2 Blue Tit
2 Coal Tit
1 Great Tit
3 Greenfinch
2 House Sparrow
2 Chaffinch
1 Robin
2 Dunnock
2 Collared Dove
1 Wood Pigeon
1 Pheasant

In addition a Buzzard flew over quite low and a pair of Bullfinches were seen as we walked down a nearby lane ths afternoon.

Cheers Colin
