Hi,

I thought the sea might be reasonably interesting when I saw a 1st winter kittiwake flying across the road heading inland at Fishtoft....

Great skua - 1
Long-tailed duck - 8
Guillemot - 10
Fulmar - 3
Red-throated diver - 3
Little gull - 1st winter
Kittiwake - 30
Red-breasted merganser - 2
Goldeneye - 25
Lesser(Cackling) Canada Goose - Looking through the literature I think this is the sub-species minima (formerly called Cackling Canada Goose) as it was very small with a dark breast, small head/bill, greyish coverts with dark sub-terminal and whitish terminal banding. Presumably this is the same bird I saw at Frampton on 13th.
Peregrine - adult female
Hen harrier - adult male
Skylark - 120

Cheers,

John

The Humber looked good but produced nil. An oiled Kit yesterday the only reward thus far.
