On 11th February while walking along the tow path to The Pyewipe, I saw a large flock (40ish) of waxwings eating the rosehips on hedges next to the river. I didnt know what birds they were but their crests and yellow tips to tails made them easy to identify when I got home. Have been back today 12th - no sign of them.
