A nice sunny day on the patch:- At least 2, possibly 3, Bitterns still at the mere, seen flying between reed beds. Also at the mere 2 Shovelers and 42 Pochard. 2 Buzzards. c70 Lapwings on beet field west of mere. 16 Skylarks. 2 Mistle Thrushes. c30 Lesser Redpolls on weedy field south of catchwater drain. |
