just a quite hour early aft, very quite, beautiful day, skylarks singing highlights were buzzard sparrowhawk fem little egret 6 shelduck 40 teal 10 flock linnet 20 or so 11/12 swans very distant on the sea where pyes outfall enters the sea, pretty sure they were whoopers but distance and heat haze made it very difficult to be certain. 1000 wood pigeons 4 yellow hammer finally the days highlight was 2 peacock butterflys, beautiful, big deep breathe spring not far now lads terry whalin |

The 11 swans were in fact Whoopers. Along with Peter Cox, I saw them on the mudflats this morning on the seaward side of Somercotes Haven. Later in the morning, the heat haze was very strong and they had moved further out and closer towards the mouth of Grainthorpe Haven. |

thought they were steve but as you say the haze was very bad even unable to be sure 11/12, ta much terry whalin |
