27 on Beacon Way, some 150 meters from The Welcome Public House at 1100. Were then flushed by a Sparrowhawk and had not returned by 1200.

I wonder if this is the same flock that has been seen daily on the approach road to Gib. There were 27 again by the letter box opposite the golf course this afternoon.

Hi,
Just connected with 20 waxwings on top of leafless tree next to berry laden tree on roadside between Beacon Park entrance and mini-roundabout. (27/2 4:45pm) Beautiful birds and lovely sound they make.
I think there may be others in the area as I saw one flying just a bit further away from the main flock. I am also fairly sure I heard some in the near distance.

Hi,
Just seen 4 waxwings on top of leafless tree (28/2 1:45pm) as opposed to 20 yesterday. None on berry laden tree next to it! Is there another rich berry source in the immediate area I wonder?

Hi,
Just seen 20 waxwings again in leafless tree next to berry laden tree between Beacon Park entrance and mini-roundabout. (7/3 3:30pm).
Has anyone else noticed that at least six of them have developed one or two white blotches on the top of their closed wings ? Any answers would be welcome!
