While on my way to Theddlethorpe dropped into one of my fave coastal spots and drove into Keyholme Lane at two pm. The latter part of the track is to say the least abysmal, it's time Terry got his mates to lay some tarmac or whatever
again!
When I arrived there were already a couple of cars there so wondered if I knew the owners, no but after being saying this and that I met for the first time Neil Kurz
. Then another member arrived in the shape of Rob Hardy
followed a little while later by Colin Smale, so got three lifers in short time
Four pairs of eyes are better than one
It was a cracking day till late afternoon when most of us adorned ourselves with thick coats.
The biggest part of the sightings were seen by them while I was busy having lunch but I did pop my head up to see them once told and did manage some distant pics of the Merlin and Buzzard.
Here are the sightings seen before I left them about 17:00,
Peregrine - 2 ( together on the shore)
Merlin - 1m
Buzzard - 1
Hen Harrier - 1m
SEO - 1
Little Egret - 1
Brent's over
Common Gull (
) private joke - over our heads (pic)
Curlews
Lapwings
Redshank
Oyk
Mutes
100s of waders were put up many times by the Peregrines etc, cracking stuff
Kind regards
