When a small group of Greylags dropped into the Whisby Quarry Silt Lagoons this afternoon was surprised to see that the 3 Tundra Bean Geese were with them. Same birds as Jan based on bill patterns and the one bird which had a distinctive small white blaze on the base of the forehead. Eventually all geese flew to the potato fields across the road but I think the Beanies landed behind a hedge and I couldn't re-locate them. Will put a poor record shot in the photo album later.

Begs the question where have they been (no pun intended) since 19th Jan?

Also Ringed Plover in the flooded field to the east of Scotland Farm entrance

Hi Grahame

They dropped into Thurlby GP on Feb 2nd, with Greylags. I guess they are generally in the South Lincoln area, lots of fields, lots of pits!
