A Woodlark at the south end was a pleasant bonus today. At 1020, it flew from one of the coastal fields, over the dunes and out onto the outmarsh. Otherwise, the quiet theme continued with the best of the rest including 2 Barn Owls, 2 Kestrels, one Sparrowhawk, one Common Buzzard, 2 Mistle Thrushes, 10 Whooper Swans and 380 Golden Plovers. Some of the last were beginning to acquire black on the underparts.
