Steve, If I'd seen that spectacle I would have said "extremely" good numbers . Could this be the first time this number has been seen at Bonby? Although I don't read the forum and members blogs on a regular basis could this be a record for this new site? Are the fields flooded? WOW 716 Wigeon Well done! Kind regards John |

Morning John, I'm not sure about a record,as if i say yes,i'm sure Graham will drag a record up from about 1860 beating it,but it is the most of i have heard of while i have been birding down there. And in the answer to your other question, all the fields are flooded between the soak drain and the Ancholme, thats four fields and all had wildfowl in varying numbers in them. The Whoopers were in the field just before you reach the river and were pretty wary. Regards, Steve. |
