6 female pheasants in my back garden at Wood Enderby, this evening. They were there for around an hour and a half!

We had two males in our back garden in the centre of Louth this afternoon. We do get the occasional single male or female, but two males is a first for us. Eating bird seed and whole peanuts.

What do you think could have caused this? An infux in the breeding of game birds for shooting?

We have had a male in the garden on and off for a few days most winters since we've been living here (2006). We were surprised not to see one this winter with it being so cold, and then two turn up, feeding on peanuts scattered on the ground.
