A quick visit this evening to check for migrants, hopeless optimist that I am, produced a single Swallow. The first Spring I can recall seeing Swallow before Sand Martin,

I popped in yesterday on my way home from HQ at Rothwell. No Hirundines but one each of Chiffchaff and Cetti's Warbler singing, 2 Little Egrets, 30 odd Fieldfares, 50+ Gadwall and at least 3 Goldeneye still.
