Frampton Marsh:-
Morning in the VC brought news of the first reported Swallow of the year, a Little Ringed Plover in front of the 360 hide and the return of the two Mediterranean Gulls on the second island in front of the reedbed hide (Roy Madison/ Neil Smith). A brief wander in the hedgerow yielded one Chiffchaff, two Goldcrest and a small flock of five Long-tailed Tits.
Freiston Shore:-
A blustery couple of hours this afternoon produced another Chiffchaff flitting around the trees on the path to the lagoon hide, as well as three Oystercatcher and a pair of Avocet in flagrante delicto from the lagoon hide itself, a single Grey Plover on the saltmarsh and, finally, the Lesser Scaup with a small group of Tufties at the back of the lagoon.
