The overnight storm had lessened somewhat, but it was still very rough for recording purposes. The main migrants at the south end this morning were 9 Swallows, a Common Whitethroat, 4 Chiffchaffs, 8 Willow Warblers, a Firecrest which was the same bird as yesterday, 3 Wheatears, a superb male Whinchat, Whimbrel, 15 Golden Plovers and a Fieldfare. |
