Friday 19th
3 yellow wags
5 pied wags
yellow hammer
little owl
35 linnets
20 curlew
buzzard

sat 20th
male hen harrier feeding on private farmland inland from pyes, couldn't see what it killed
7 common crane headed north towards donna nook/ tetney at 13.35 hr
2 wheatear
2 willow warbs and a chiff chaff
2 yellow wags
3 buzzard
2 kestrel
10 linnet
reed bunt
3 grey heron
6 teal
that's it folks

getting fed up with these damm common cranes this is the 3rd time in 4 years I have recorded this species in april, swotting them away like flies down here lads :lol: :lol:

Nice day trip for the cranes. Were seen flying past Cley this morning.

Will be interesting to see what the rest of the journey was.

no further reports north of me james so far but seemed very low heading towards tetney rspb, the other 2 occasions in previous years have gone back to the sea so noth Yorkshire next if they didn't land. :D :D

They don't appear on Spurns day list so presumably didn't head that way.

Haven't found them lurking on CCP this morning!! :(

Would you be so kind as to advise in advance of next year's sighting? :lol:

james a single bird passed long nab this morning and a further 6 were seen in northumberland heading north west at 11.00 hrs, so they probably roosted somewhere north of the humber. big birds like cranes do not move far unless the thermals are right.
