Some evidence of raptor passage today with 6 Common Buzzards, (including 3 together in from the mouth of the Humber before continuing SW inland), 4 Kestrels, Merlin and Hobby. A Hobby seen ca 4 hours later may have been the same individual. Other migrants were 50 Swallows, 9 Sand Martins, 2 Wheatears, Common Redstart, 3 Grasshopper Warblers, 3 Chiffchaffs, 8 Willow Warblers, 6 Blackcaps, Lesser Whitethroat, 20 Common Whitethroats, 2 Tree Pipits, 2 Ring Ouzels, Cuckoo, 3 Whimbrels and a Greenshank.

Practically all species seemed much reduced in the cold onshore NNE wind. Not many birds were singing either, although 4 Grasshopper Warblers resolutely reeled on. The Merlin, Greenshank and just one Ring Ouzel still present and also a couple of Cuckoos, otherwise low numbers of Wheatears, warblers and hirundines noted.
