I've been dying to use that thread title for ages! :D

Really good couple of days on the reserve this weekend. Let me, er, show you the way:-

Saturday:-

Black-necked Grebe x 1
Common Tern x 1
Cuckoo x 1
Turtle Dove x 2
Lesser Whitethroat x 1
Common Whitethroat x 3
Sparrowhawk x 1

Sunday:-

Garganey x 3
Ruddy Duck x 1
Hobby x 1
Little Ringed Plover x 2
White Wagtail x 3
Corn Bunting x 2

Numbers of Swallow and Sand Martin are really swelling now and they have finally been joined by parties of House Martin and Swift. The ditches along the road are hissing with the song of Sedge Warbler, Yellow Wagtails are flitting all around the reserve too whilst, wader-wise, the Ruff and Black-tailed Godwit have been looking pretty spectacular in their summer finery.
