all over from donna nook grainthorpe / tetney lock area
many thanks to the contractors who gave me a guided tour of the new donna nook development, like the future toad pond area bat boxes etc
at least 20 wheatear
50 summer plumage golden plover near grainthorpe
grey wagtail
cuckoo at humberston
5/6 yell wags
5 whitethroat
blackcap

No Dotterel today then? I tried various areas without any luck.

no Geoff no dotterel today at least 5 people saw them through my scope around 18.00 hrs the previous evening when whey were feeding and showing well approx. 60 yds inland and north of the spoil heap. they can disappear for hours behind the undulating ground and just lye doggo. never saw them last year but in the same fields have seen dotterel 4 times in the last 6 years. still time for others to drop in but I am off to beidaihe china for 18 days on Saturday, might struggle for dotterel but IBISBILL maybe hmmm please :D :D

Me too Geoff. With the same result.
Started searching from the Commissioners Bank at 7am.
Moved onto check the Pea fields at Tetney, then the fields at Northcotes and Grainthorpe. Then I surrendered and retired to Manby for the Garganey.

del I checked all that area the evening before and saw none but others found 5 birds, lifes a bitch :lol: but its better than the alternative :D
