We returned from a weekend in Yorkshire to a garden full of wildlife; Orange Tip, Brimstone and 2 Holly Blue Butterflies. A pair of Blackcaps and a Red Kite overhead, but best of all a Reed Warbler singing in our shrubbery. It stayed at least 2 hours singing away. I did my best to turn it into a Marsh Warbler but in the end was happy to settle for Reed Warbler, We have a small pond and a bed of irises but nothing to really attract a Reed Warbler.

A good and totally unexpected garden tick.

Ian
