Earlier, during the morning, the section between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall produced a Hobby, 3 Kestrels, Sparrowhawk, Common Buzzard, Marsh Harrier, 2 Wheatears, 2 Cuckoos and 3 Swifts.

On the subject of Swifts, there were around 300 at Covenham Reservoir yesterday, most were zooming around at low level catching insects above the wall, sometimes passing within a few feet of my head!
Two Common Sandpipers were the only other birds of note at Covenham.
