Various agencies are reporting some good birds at Gibraltar Point today These include bluethroat, pomerine skua, great skua, black-throated & red throated divers, puffin, arctic tern, red-breasted merganser, spotted flycatchers and various other goodies. Lets hope that the finders report these on this forum because members don't get a rounded view of what is passing through the county. I note lots of comments of it being a poorish spring - but is it? - just look at that list and some of the good birds that are about at the moment or have been seen in the last month |

Hi Chris, The Bluethroat was found by Martin Moorby a visiting birder from Leicestershire. Unfortunately it wasn't seen again despite Kev Wilson and Nigel Lounds best efforts of trying to relocate it! The other seawatching bits were from 07:15 - 10:00 yesterday morning. I've sustained an injury to my ankle tendon/ligament damage, so I haven't been able to walk for the past few days, absolutely gutted about what I've been missing. Richard |

Hope you are soon up and about Richard but the positive is you don't have to venture out into the May winter weather |
