0800 - 1000 Sat 20/04/13 - Great morning for birding just a shame i didn't get out early.

Swallow - 4
House Martin - 3
ChiffChaff - 1 heard
Willow Warbler - 2 seen & 4 or 5 others heard
Great Spotted Woodpecker
Blackcap 1m
Reed Bunting
Tufted Duck 2m & 1f
M Pipits
Sparrowhawk

Highlights

Yellow Wagtail - 1 (but despite other member's reports, none have found the cattle!)
Whitethroat - 2
Swallow - 7
Sand Martin - 3 or 4
House Martin - 7
Willow Warbler - 2 seen (several more heard)
ChiffChaff - 1 seen (couple of others heard)
Blackcap - 2m & 2f (presumed 2 different pairs)
Bullfinch - 2m & 3f (presumed 2 different groups)
Reed Warbler - 1 seen (2 heard)

Plus usual suspects and 1 fox and 1 Tortoiseshell Butterfly

Looked like being a fairly ordinary visit but ended with a lifer (which is surprising for the length of time I've been birding).

Swallows, House Martins & Sand Martins galore
Common Whitethroat - 1 seen (2 others heard)
Willow Warbler - 1
Reed Warbler - 1
ChiffChaff - 1
Blackcap
Grasshopper Warbler (Lifer)
Wheatear - 1
Long-tailed Tit
Tufted Duck - 2m & 2f

Monday 6th - 0650 to 0920

Mixed birding this morning. Nothing new but some cracking views of several species, which is typical because i decided to leave camera at home

Whitethroat - several
Reed Warbler - 1 seen others heard
Willow Warbler - 2 seen others heard
ChiffChaff - 1 heard
Sedge Warbler - 1 seen
Swallows
Linnet
Sparrowhawk - perched in tree 10 feet away
Blackcap - heard only
Tufted Duck - 2 male
G C Grebe - 2

Plus
Long-tailed, Great & Blue Tit,
House Sparrow
Magpie, Crow, Woodpigeon & Collared Dove
Mallard, Moorhen & Coot
Pied Wagtail - 1
Kestrel

Speckled Wood - 4 or 5
Peacock - 1
Orange Tip - 1
