Kirkby Pits

A nice slection of species present with some of the waders look set on breeding with courtship and copulation noted amongst some of the species. Aside from these and the usual collection of common waterfowl:

Black-tailed Godwit - 2 sum plu birds dropped in briefly on the LWT pit
Common Tern - 30 birds on LWT pit with majority looking settled so hopefully a successful breeding season
Pochard - 4 drake
Reed Warbler - 4
Willow Warbler - 2
Reed Bunting - 1
Green Woodpecker - 1H
Swift - 8
House Martin - 4

Kirkby Moor

During brief visit.........

Willow Warbler - H
Garden Warbler - H
Green Woodpecker - H
Bullfinch - 1m showing very well
Skylark - 1
Meadow Pipit - 2
Swallow - 2
