Having spent the early part of the evening watching the local Peregrines feeding two well grown young I did not get down to Dunsby Fen until after supper; 9.15 pm and stayed about an hour. Highlights were 1 male Cuckoo, 1 male Grey Partridge, only one Barn owl and 1 Little Owl, a pair of Yellow Wagtails, at least 3 singing Reed Warblers and 2 singing Sedge Warblers and about 8 separate Whitethroat territories, 1 Kestrel and 5 Stock Doves.

Elsewhere in Dunsby parish yesterday there were also 3 pairs of Turtle Doves, a fledged brood of 4 Kingfishers and a Lesser Whitethroat feeding young in the nest.
