I have been monitoring nest boxes in two woods in the Market Rasen area for many years. All the records have been submitted to the BTO Nest Record Scheme. This year has been the most productive for both Blue and Great Tits at Walesby Grange since 2002 and the third most productive at Linwood since 1985 Most have now or are on the point of fledging and not one of 26 boxes have been predated. Look out for plenty of young Tits on your feeders in the coming months.

Our garden Blue Tits fledged today, it was great to count them all out (6) and take their first flight although one took a wrong turn and had to be rescued from the greenhouse.
Another garden box has Tree Bees in again this year.
Also had a Hobby over last night.
