Post subject:  Donna Nook, 3rd July.

My first Arctic Skua of the autumn, a dark morph bird, flew south over the sea at 1620. There were also 16 Sandwich Terns and 23 Curlews along the tide-edge. Coming in from the sea were 66 Common Swifts, 3 House Martins and 26 Swallows, the last including at least 9 juveniles. A Crossbill was briefly present on the dunes before it headed to the inland pinewood of North Somercotes Warren.
