A morning ringing session today produced the following: 9 Wren, 2 Dunnock, 3 Robin, 1 Blackbird, 2 Song Thrush, 2 Whitethroat, 1 Garden Warbler, 2 Blackcap, 9 Chiffchaff, 1 Willow Warbler, 7 Long-tailed Tits, 2 Willow Tits, 3 Treecreepers and 3 Bullfinches. The vast majority were juveniles and a female Willow Tit with a pronounced brood patch in the same net as a newly fledged juvenile shows they are hanging on in Willingham Forest. |
