Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe NNR: Gannet, 1-4 most days 6/7 to 14/7 Curlew, unto 100 along whole tide edge Greenshanks, 2-S on 9th Dunlin, 7 on 9th, 2 on 10th, 10 on 12th and 12 on 14th, all south Whimbrel, 1 on 10th, 3 0n 11th, 4 on 12th, all south Bar-tailed godwit, 2 on 11th and 12th Sanderling, 2 on 13th, 12 on 14th, all south Oyster catcher 9-S on 14th Grainthorpe Haven 12th July: Curlew, 36 Whimbrel, 2 Greenshank, 2, Dunlin, 2 Redshank, in creeks Little egret, 6 Shelduck, 2 pairs 18 young Oystercatcher, 260+ and at least 3 pairs. Howden's Pullover 1000hrs onwards at high tide. Arctic skua, 1 ad dark phase Sandwhich tern, 35 with several juvs. Little tern, 2 Ringed plover, 1....no breeding success again. Curlew, 106 Whimbrel, 2 Bar-tailed godwit, 2 Turnstone, 7 Knot, 8-S Sanderling, 40-S Dunlin, 67-S Gannet, 2 Little egret, 8 Common scoter, 36_S Starling, feeding flock 400+ Pergrine, 1 Yellow wagtail 8+ juvs. Common Scoter, 1000s at Brickyard Lane as per post just before this Regards, Cliff |
