3 Turtle Doves on telephone wire together at about 1300 hrs. In contrast to last week when there were warblers everywhere I only saw one Blackcap - however the time of my visit was not great.

My impression is that there are more Turtle Doves about this year than last. Hugh Dorrington and I found 5 purring territories in the Rippingale and Dunsby Fens area this year and I only had 3 last year.
