This morning, 2 Arctic Skuas and a Pomarine Skua harrying terns offshore contributed some useful comparisons between the two species. 49 Sandwich Terns onshore, plus another 120 heading north with 23 Common Terns, 13 Gannets and 6 Common Scoters. 42 Whimbrels noted, but other wader numbers were disappointing. On the landward side were 33 Golden Plovers, 2 Common Sandpipers, Green Sandpiper, 4 Little Egrets, 6 Kestrels, Peregrine and Marsh Harrier.

from about 11:15 to 17:00 7 Manx went north, not a lot of Cory's from what I could see, about 120 sandwich on the shore and another 30 - 40 offshore but most far out, 3 Little Terns including ajuv being fed by an adult, 52 Sanderling including a multi -award winning bird with several rings and a flag and just 2 Arctic Skuas, a Green Sand came in off the sea from way out
