I wasn't going to put this report in but owing to the questions about passerines I will enter the following from farmland inland off the haven
2 flocks linnet approx. 150 birds
aprrox 30 goldfinch
approx. 10 yellow wags
5 pied wags
aprrox 5 reed bunts
approx. 7 skylarks
approx. 100 swallow over the stubble and saltmarsh
flock starlings about 120 birds, all the above highly mobile feeding in the stubble area
plus 1 imm male marsh harrier
5 little egret
3 grey heron
2 kestrel
greenshank
approx. 20 teal flew inland towards covenham area
buzzard
blackcap
3 yellow hammer
sparrowhawk
oh forgot the mipits ???
sorry I cannot be more accurate but it just reinforces johns view about the difficulty of getting an accurate count :D :D
